f I CLASS OF 1941 The freshman class this year had an enrollment of 189 students, consisting of 78 girls and 111 boys. This is the fourth largest class in the school. Class officers were: Billy Brazier, president; Doris Green, vice- president; Grace Berns, secretary; and Lenore Hoke, treasurer. This class also had several students who were engaged in other activities. Martha Jenkins was president of the Campfire Girls, Jack Bouse was representative in the Student Council, Doris Green was elected president of the junior high Leadership Club, Laurel Coats was president of the junior high Girl Reserves. Bob Terry was a member of the track team and also of the second team in basket ball, Billy Brazier won first place in the trumpet solo at Pittsburg, Lenore Hoke was president of the Waterbugs, Mike Amayo reached the finals in the Golden Gloves. CLASS OF 1943 As a special feature of the seventh grade this year an assembly has been given each six weeks. The assemblies, chiefly of musical numbers were presented by seventh grade students only. At the end of the first semester, girls taking half-year courses in clothing and cooking changed to chorus, and chorus students changed to the homemaking subjects. The boys took half-year courses in woodwork and chorus. The 170 members of the class elected Jerry Moore, president; Bud Cassidy, vice-president; Duane Sparks, treasurer; Hazel Evans, cheer leader.
