Effective use of English as a tool insures, in a large measure, ability to succeed in the other academic sub- jects; the social sciences open the door to a practical training in citizenship through the laboratory of the school's activities; home making includes the fine arts—music, art, dramatics—as well as the practical arts, and no student escapes this cxpeiience. The present year finds the school making great progress in its health program, thorough physical examinations having been given to all students without cost to them, remedial work progressing through both the home and the school, and a gymnasium program available to most of the students. Initial steps in a comprehensive guidance program arc already in operation. Educational guidance is being carried on successfully this year. Considerable experimental work in vocational, social and moral guidance is under way now. Another year will find the school realizing in a rather satisfactory way the ideals of her philosophy.
