Freshman Energy Day Here we arc. the class of “91 in our glory. We were all saying. “Why do we have to do this! Everyone but us said it was all in fun! The boys had to dress up in pantyhose, tank top, sock hat, thongs, mittens, and mini-skirts. The girls had to wear garbage bags, boots, scuba gear, shower caps, and they couldn't wear make-up or curl their hair. That afternoon we had an assembly. We had to stand up and give a “fashion show to everyone. In the process of the show, an air raid siren went off. and all freshmen hit the floor and put their hands over their heads! After our fashion show, some of us had to do some events. The girls had to belly-buck in the middle of the gym. Tasha Currie was the champion of that event! Later, some of the boys had to shave a balloon. Jonathan Kary swept that event! In the arm wrestling tournament. Brad Thompson narrowly defeated Michelle Harper. The dress-up winners were Josh Farrier and Audra Fornear. Later each winner got to pick their favorite senior to put whipping cream and an egg in their hair. As freshman Tonya Rodmakcr put it, “We all had fun. but wait until we're seniors. S.W. 1. Rude Dog! Grrr ... 2. Be careful. Brad! The Fashion Gestapo is watching you! 3. Freshmen try their luck at shaving — for the first time (?) 4. Brad Thompson battles Michelle Harper for her title of home- coming queen. 5. Jonathan Kary gets his revenge on the senior class via Dave Batthauer. 6. Tasha Currie helps Tami Manning with her new hairstyle. 7. Michelle Harper with her favorite freshman. Homecoming Spirit Week The Spirit Week activities were the best they had ever been. A tug-of-war Wednesday started them off. It was held over the notorious “Pit” (a four-foot deep pool of slimy mud). The Senior boys, girls, and mixed teams dominated the event with the Senior girls team beating everyone (with the help of a few stand-ins). Quite a few competi- tors got to take a dip in “The Pit”. Thursday included the most elaborate obstacle course ever made. Contestants ran through a Hall'o Jello, puzzle race, mud slide, tricycle race, pie-eat, tires and many others. Even the faculty organized a team to compete. On Friday, Mr. Bomber ’86, Marty Watrous returned to crown his successor. Brad Spent, dur- ing the annual Male Beauty Contest. To finish off the festivities, Mr. Zachary bravely “Kissed the Bulldog” to the delight of his fans at the assembly. S.K. I. Tcna Tiplon showing off her facial with her personal cosmotologist. Steven Kuhn. 2. Mr. Zachary “smooching the pooch”. 3. So .. this is what a French mudbath is like! 4. Show us your pearly whites. Steve! 5.
