Homecoming Week was exciting and different for everyone. The Student Council worked hard to plan new activities that we could remember forever. I'm sure Mrs. Knappen (a.k.a. Hot Lips) will even tell her great-grandchildren. Tuesday, the Juniors dominated the skits with their amazing rendition of Shout followed by the classes letting their hair down in some rousing games of volleyball that went on and on and on .. . But on Wednesday, dressed in beach togs, we watched our classmates swallow their pride and run around after pigs. Thursday, we wallowed in the mud for the tug-o-war while hippies and flower children looked on. On Friday, a new definition of raw meat was added to the books for the Male Beauty Contest. Senior Marty Watrous was deeply touched as he was crowned Mr. Bomber 1986. The coronation, dance, parade, and especially the game made the 1986 Homecoming the best of the 25 Football Homecomings yet! Homecoming 1986 What ho! A large line of floats and screaming Bomber fans threading through the streets of our fair city! Could it be? The homecoming parade at A-OHS? Spectators exclaimed that the floats were the best ever created! The juniors' Up Where We Belong' floated away with first prize followed by the hard-working and law- abiding seniors with Danger Zone. The fresh- men worked around the clock for third place, and sophomores — oh. well, we'll keep trying. Milford? Who's that? This common excla- mation was heard all over Bomberland after we whomped them 48-0. The win put Argenta- Oreana on the map and propelled us into the play-offs,” said Coach Saunches. Hey!
