MR. ALVA KIMLER American History MRS. MARILYN KNAPPEN Mathematics MRS. CINDY LUEDKE Librarian MRS. LORI MeSHEA Home Economics Mr. Kimler Mr. Kimler — he’s one teacher that every student who has passed through A-OHS in the last 32 years has had. As he himself puts it, You can hardly go anywhere without running into someone you've had. He has been teaching at A-OHS longer than anyone else here. From the beginning of his career in 1954, Mr. Kimler has been at our school. We all know him as the American history teacher, but over the years he has taught several other courses from English and business to world history. Another of Mr. Kimler's outstanding accomplishments is our school's student council. He has served as advisor since 1959. It’s been rumored that Mr. Kimler lives at the high school because of the many long evenings he has spent counting money from the cage profits, helping plan dances, homecoming parades, etc! All of these things that he does, though, have been summed up by yearbook advisor, Mrs. Parks. He does it because he really likes helping kids! Well, Mr. Kimler, thanks for 32 years of dedication so far — we look forward to many more. MR. JIM MOODY Social Science MRS. BERTHA PARKS Business Education MR. MOODY COMMENTS ON OUR SIZE I feel both small schools and large schools have advantages and disadvantages which make both desirable places to teach. I grew up in a large city and at- tended large schools. I like the change of atmosphere. There seems to be more people con- tact at Argenta-Oreana. Our school seems to be just his size!
