Things cannot be changed. Many days have passed. Days of joy, days of sadness, and days of excitement. Dedication Mr. Don Pritchard We, the yearbook staff of 1975-76, dedicate this year's edition of THE PILOT to Mr. Don Pritchard in honor of his six years' service as teacher and play director. While in our school, Mr. Pritchard has directed a dozen major plays which were equally enjoyed by the public who watched the performances and by the many students who had the privilege of participating in the production. The staff wishes Mr. Pritchard the best of luck in his future endeavors. Administration Superintendent MR. HAROLD MILLER Eastern Illinois University MRS. It started in October of 1975 with 35 kids and grew to an average of 50 or 60. The Aware Group met every Tuesday and Thursday, the first 15 minutes of the school day. The program was varied each time with singers, special speakers, discussions, Bible studies and devo- tions. The group got together wherever there was a room Dig enough to meet in. It started in Ms. Sullivan’s room or the guidance office, moved to Miss Gulick's room, and then ex- panded to the small gymnasium stage. A committee consisting of Pam Marshall, Stacey Brohard, Jamie Abel, and Robin Mifflin planned parties and programs. There were two sponsors: Ms. Jean Sullivan and Mrs. Sadie Hollingsworth. The group owes a debt of thanks to the sponsors and to others who helped get the organization started, especially Mr. Richard Mosier, Imer Whitten of Oreana, and Rev. Wil- liam C. Ellis of Decatur. Everyone braved the cold weath- er Friday evening for the parade. Floats were judged and the Fresh- man class captured third place with Defeet the Bunnies as their theme. The Chorus float won sec- ond place with the theme You De - serve a Break Today at Argenta. The judges chose Blast the Bun- nies by the Senior class for first place. The football game was a great success for the Bombers as they beat Fisher Bunnies with a score of 8-0. Saturday night Teresa Smith and Roger Edgecombe were crowned Queen and King at the coronation to the music of The Valley of the Dolls.
