“F TURE FARMER 0i AMERICA SEATED Mr Sm1th W Parher G Carls D L1ppert B McLa1n J Beard D Strubbe A Beard W Bottons STANDING L Clark B St1nson R Burrus E Noblltt G Carls J N1ckel B Schone R Le1schner H Mason M Schnlt ker J Wood R Hall C Le1schner J St1nson M Abernathy G Hall R Jones B Alexander E Dober B Ommen In June of 1955 Dale Strubbe and Gary Carls attended the State F F A Convent1on wh1ch was held at Spr1ngf1eld George Roegge Marshall Meyer and Delbert Plunkett went to fhe State Judgmg Contest The F F A elected the followmg off1cers 1n September Pres1dent B111 McLa1n V1ce Pres1dent Bob Allen Secretary J1m Beard Treasurer D1ck L1ppert Reporter Glenn Carls At the annual Burgoo the F F A had acake walk and pop stand ln October a.n F F A F H A hayrlde and we1ner roast was held at J1m Beard s The F F A entered a land Judgmg contest at Wh1te Hall Durlng the latter part of October the F F A and F H A had a Halloween dance A corn show was held at Carrollton 1n November The followmg wonprlzes Bob Schone and Wllbur Parher second Howard Mason and Jlm Beard tlurd Dale Strubbe and Mxke Abernathy each won 25 cents On December l the F F A sponsored Natxonal Safe Dr1v1ng Day for the communlty by purchasmg posters and s1gns for car bumpers and d1str1but1ng them The followmg boys took part xn a land Judgmg contest durmg the month of January Howard Mason Charles Le1schner Dale Strubbe and George Hall In February Glenn Carls Landls Clark and George Hall attended a gram Judglng contest at Roodhouse On Valent1ne s Day the F F A and F H A sponsored a Valent1ne Dance On February 15 the F.
