SGDIQQ HISIOR In September 1951 our freshman group entered Arenzv1l1e I-hgh and were 1n1t1ated by the sophomores Class offxcers elected were Pres1dent Marshall Meyer V1ce Pres1dent Gayle Mullens Secretary Treasurer Joan Carls Student Counc11 Ahce Peck and Anna Jones Mr Dah.ma.n was our class adv1sor Landon Coats was the only classmate that we lost In 1952 as sophomores we 1n1t1ated the freshmen What fun' Class off1cers elected were Pres1dent Sally H1erman V1ce Presldent Marshall Meyer Secretary Treasurer Joan Carls Student Councll Anna Jones Gayle Mullens and Alv1n Dufelme1er Mr Alt1zer served as class adv1sor Delbert Plunkett and J1m Rohn entered our class and f1ve students Freddy Crawford Shlrley Crawford Marlon Ore Ronn1e Anderson and Glenna Wmkleman left us ln 1953 as Jumors off1cers elected were Pres1dent Marshall Meyer V1ce Presldent Al1ce Peck Secretary Delbert Plunkett Treasurer Joan Peck Joan Carls and Larry Noble We presented our play Luc1ndy Peck from Cabbage Neck on March 23 Mrs Mary Sm1th d1rected our play and Mr James Sm1th was our class adv1sor The mam event was the Junlor Semor Banquet held at the Dunlap Hotel Our class was made smaller by the absence of J1m Rohn Th1s year our semor year we electedthe followmg off1cerS Pres1dent Joan Carls V1ce Pres1dent Anna Jones Secretary Al1ce Peck Treasurer Larry Noble Student Counc11 members were Sara Grant Anna Jones Gayle Mullens and George Roegge Mrs Schnake was our class adv1sor On November 24 1954 we presented a three act play Deadwood D1ck Another b1g event of the year was the carmval wh1ch was held February 5 On February 19 the losmg team 1n the yearbook sales contest served a supper to the w1nn1ng team Larry Noble put h1s talents to good use as ch1ef cook and d1sh washer We are now lookmg forward to our Jun1or Sen1or Banquet semor tr1p and graduatlon SENIOR 0I:l:lCGl2S Ahce Peck, Larry Noble. class DRGDITECY One evemng hav1ng noth1ng else to do I turned on my telev1s1on set The f1rst show I saw was the famous mystery story Somethlng Smells To my surpr1se I saw three of my old classmates George Kle1nschm1dt as the detect1ve Longnose McSn1ff and Larry Noble and Anna Jones as the gangster and h1s glrl fr1end Gett1ng t1red of th1s I decxded to get The Flreslde Theater wh1ch was presentlng that famous movle Blown by the Breeze the story of the Bloomer glrls starrlng Mlss Allce Peck Itwas taken from the famous novel by Sally Hlerman I swltched to another channel and watched another classmate Melvm Roegge as Father 1n Llfe Wlth Father Then I saw Delor1s Cox 1n that tearful soap opera He Left by the Back Door My l1tt1e brother came 1n to watch h1sfavor1te show The Cactus Club I then dec1ded to watch Duffy s Favern and there was George Roegge tendmg bar Cllfford Bottens and Gayle Mullens seemed to be very good customers My l1ttle brother came IH agaln w1th a crowd of fr1ends to see Super Clrcus starrmg Marshall Meyer and h1s tra1ned seals Then I saw Alv1n Dufelme1er readlng a commerclal tellmg of the mer1ts of Peterson s Plckled P1gS Feet Th1s was a surpr1se Unfortunately I got the wrestllng matches next The blg match was between two lady wrestlers I recogmzed them Gorgeous Gold1e was Joan Carls and Sweetle P1e Sara was Sara Grant After the wrestllng the announcer appeared He sa1d I..ad1es and gentlemen we are about to prevlew a new show We are presentlng 1t th1s late so we can keep xt from L1berace We now present Plunkace and H15 Sllver Flute Delbert Plunkett bowlng sald Thank you thank you very much ' Thls was too much I staggered off to bed mentally resolvlng never ga1n to watch those late shows I . , .
