enior farm sihdforg On September 1, 1947, twenty-eight green freshmen entered the halls of Arenzville High School. Two weeks later a class meeting was held and the following officers were elected, Elizabeth Paul-- President, Katy Carls- -Vice -President, J o an Goodpasture - - Secretary, Wanda Schone - - Treasurer, Connie Lovekamp - - Student Council Representative and Mr. Homer Dahman as our Class Advisor. During the school term one of our class- mates, James Rexroat, moved away. Coming back in '48 We were minus 3 classmates Mary Jones, Gene Parks, and Carl Fozzard, but in February we welcomed a new member Opal Beard, to our class Officers chosen were, Richard Fricke President Jack Hanzmeier Vice Presi dent Vera Roegge Secretary, Katy Carls Treasurer, Dorothy Engebrecht Student Council Representative, and Mrs Fern Ranson as our Class Advisor W started the year with a bang by giving a Freshmen Initiation Party inthe gym We also had a Christmas Party at the home of Rosalie Roegge We are proud of our Presi dent Richard Fricke, who was escort of our 1949 Queen In 49 when we were Juniors we were missing two classmates, Dorothy Enge brecht and Emma Schlueter, but we are happy to have with us again our former classmate, Mary Jones To raise money we had bake sales, candy sales, and sold Ice cream and squawky dolls at basketball g mes Our Junior Play The Daffy Dills was a huge success Our Junior Senior Banquet was held on May 6 1n the Arenz ville Community Hall The room was decor ated beautifully The officers for the year were, Jean Beets--President, Pat Schnit- ker--Vice President, Opal Beard--Secre- tary, Elizabeth Paul--Treasurer, Max Lippertand Vera Roegge--Student Council Representatives, and Miss Marilyn Hunter as our Class Advisor. In our last and final year as Seniors, we were minus three classmates, Carolyn Anderson, Wanda Schone, and Muriel Wal- ters, who became brides before school started.
