GIRLS CHORUS The Girls Chorus has been an outstanding musical group at Ardsley High School for several years At the festival in Kingston last spring they received a One Rating in Class V singing quite difficult music This year they have sung twice at P T A and ioined with the Boys Chorus in the Christ mas Cantata Childe Jesus and in the United Nations program JOKES Ned Boice: 'Er--er something seems to be wrong with the engine- Doris Munck: 'Dont be silly- wait until we get off the main road. Jean G.: Art thinks he s the whole ocean' Katie Derhoff: How's that? Jean G.: 'Because he has waves in his hair. George Brink: ls the pleasure of the next dance to be mine? Marion P.: 'lYes, all of it. i i 'I Miss Robbie tin nutritionl: Name three classes into which food is divided. Gerrie Rodgers: Breakfast, dinner and supper. i i 'R Stagestruck Donald Thomas fafter trying his voicel: Do you think I can ever do anything with my voice? Mr. Taylor: Well, it might come in handy in case of fire. BOYS CHORUS Last year the first high school Boys Chorus appeared with great success at the Spring Concert This year they entertained at several assemblies and on several programs Several members sang solo parts in Childe Jesus the Christmas cantata which was presented three times On March 19 the American Legion spon sored a program centered around the boys operetta Double Crossed The chorus en 1oyed working on the operetta very much and the audience was highly entertained Com-pa-nee attenshun bawled Pop to the awkward squad. Com-pa-nee lift up your left leg and hold it straight in front of you. By mistake R, Allen held up his right leg which brought it out side by side with his neigh- bors left leg. And who is the galoot over there holding up both legs? shouted Pop. Miss Buell: As punishment for your misbe- havior the entire class must remain after school for two hours. B. Blouin: Give me liberty or give me death. Miss Buell: Who said that? B. Blouin: Patrick Henry. t Q 'I Miss Conklin: You still take your morning bath, I suppose. Willie Rosano: Never miss it.
