5,39 if 1' 9 BOYS BASKETBALL Ken Browns first call tor candidates to repre sent Ardsley on the Varsity team After a few weeks of hard work and practice the following boys were chosen for the Varsity Carmine Pascone Torn De Muro George Brrnkerhotf John Palermo George Spano George Furilla Mike Noviello Dom Lancellotti and Bob Blouin Of these six were veterans from last years Varsity. Since the Greenburgh League was dis- banded for the duration Coach Brown had to book games with nearby schools and with some Class A schools such as Ossining Bronx- schedule than the regular Greenburgh League schedule The boys with one year s Varsity experience behind them made a fine showing Excellent teamwork and a spirit of cooperation were dis played at all the games Next year all the boys on the team except two hope to be in one of Uncle Sam s Services. In whatever branch it is they will show the same tough fighting spirit. The best wishes of the faculty and student body go with these boys.
