An all-time high in enrollment has been reached this year with 575 pupils against last year's 547. The Ardsleyan Staff is chosen with d o venience Ruth Gubler as editor-in-chief. The school cafeteria is opened, an a new c n is offered to those who eat their lunch in school. December 2 The Third Degree of the Honor Society elect Freda Jille as president December 16 and William Phillips as Vice-president of this organization. All who attend the ceremony are impressed as they witness the initiation December 17 of 58 new members into the Honor Society. The two Sophomore classes join forces to sponsor a Card, Game, and January 13 Bingo Party. Having burned the midnight oil for the past week, the students arrive crammed with knowledqe to make good on their mid-year examinations. Matthews, adviser of the Osslning High School Varsity Club, addresses the Second Degree Members at the Initiation The various school organizations participate in the Memorial Day Exercises today. A lovely afternoon and bountiful refreshments help make the Honor Society Picnic and Treasure Hunt a great success. The Balfour Award is to be presented to Rosina Paolucci at the annual graduation exercises. BAND The band has just completed its first year as an outstanding or anization of the Ardsley High School Since its first meetinv last year, it has crown from a crou, of fourteen students to a balanced unit of twenty seven pieces and promises to become a much lar er body early next semester The band has served the school and the conmun'ty on many occasions It has performed at the basketball games and assemblies and at events such the Arnlstice Prograr and the Scout Circus The aim of the organization next year will be to expand and to include the many instruments that are now lacking and also to become a fine marching unit To our leader Ur Vincent,we wish to express our gratitude ll ,Ni in Ywffla.
