SIOGRA PI Or TEE CLASS OU 1958 For eight long vears, the Senior Class of l 68 had looked forward to entering the land of Utopia High School After stepping on the threshold of this land, we found it to be immensely different from that of our previous years Howexer, with out much difficulty we soon adjusted ourselves to this new environment, and set out to achieve success During our Freshman and Sophomore years, we carrled out the usual activities of cake sales and movies which proxed successful Also in our Sophomore year we won the five pound box of candy offered to the class wklch sold the greatest number of maga zines in the subscription campaign In our Junior year we realized the nece sity of getting down to business Our 8CtiVlt1eS during this year were of a considerably wider scope One of the ore brilllant Juniors hit upon an idea for getting rich quick, and suggested we Fife a talking movie lhis ente prise and several cake sales helped to swell our bank account As in previous years, it is the custom ol the Junior Class to publish the year book, The Ardsleyan The book than ln previous years ing efforts of hlss Clayton rendered tteir time to make Class of 1938 set out to rake this a bigger ard better Our success in this undertaling was due to the untir and other merbers of the faculty, wko so generously our book a success Thus the Ardsle an enriched our Washington Trip Fund, and we eacerly watched the compound lnterest grow and grow Due to the spirit of the pupils and especially to the efforts of the class officers, our Junior year was a most successful one Our basketball records for this year were very satlsfactory and we ende vored to continue improvinf the At last as we became dignified Seniors, we looked forward lth the greatest expectations to our Washington Trip We elected the following class officers for this year Laura Brown, president, Paul Seltz, vice presldent, Yildred Yoenic, secretary, and Wallace Perrin, treasurer we began this year prosperously wlth an exceptionally utmost school Hence, we saw enterprlse in before a very gratifying and successful subscriptlon campaign Iavinc received the support, we rewarded the students wltk a party and individual prizes Washington, our dream, not so far off n the dista As the second our Senior year, we pre ented a benelit movie at the Embassy theater responsive audience Because tLlS proved to be a very satisfactory means of making money, the Senlors decided to give another benellt later in the year After Christmas, the Senior Class began to talk about the big event of the year the Senior pla, Like all gossip, the news lealec ou that the class had chosen a side splitting farce, Senior year, has been ful advi cr, our most guiding us A Howling Success ne began practice early ln March and a most successful ore, and we extend to Niss uell, our faith hearty and sincere thanks for ner never fallln efforts in Plans were made for our Washington lrip be nnlrr on Aprll 18 and extending to April 22 We have eagerly looked forward to tkis trlp for four long years and are certain we shall have a wonderful tlme The net is weavlng closely around us, and it will soon be t me for us, the Class of 1958, to leave 'tis l nd of btopla and enter the unknown Je can only say tkat the memories of Ardsley lgh Sczool will linfer wit: us throughout our live ildred oe11g av , AE 'M ur? dH.gUhivih!!,41m 1uiA:!5'CiFiEE? fur yxggil' F r ' n rv M E A -- C L .
