1 I HONOR SOLIE IY NOTBD Are you a member of the Honor Society J X esJ No If you rc l u sure you will be interested in reyicwinv what we haue accomplished thi year If you are not here are the requirements to become a member One year of perfect attendance or certified absence 'Vine months of hi h scholalship Proficiencv in athletics Seryice to the school At the first l929 meetin an executive committee was elected con sistln of Principal Silliman ex officio lVlrs Kinderyatter the Society Ad user Helen Berthelson President Ronald Townsend Vice President May Berthelson Secretary and rl reasurer representatives of the first second third fourth Hfth sixth and seventh years namely Olive Perdreaux Katie Tlschen dorf Vlillard lVlidon1cl-Q Rafaelle Dinl-erlizzi Nuzianto Leo Nicky Petrolo Ruth Mathews George lVlunck 'lommy lVloccia Muriel Berthelson Helen Qierczynski and Conchetta Dellosx the Honor Assembly from other assemblies -Xt the same time the lycecutiwe Committee decided to put the Honor Society Code into the form of a salute to the school flaw As a member of the -Xrdsley Hivh School Honor boc ety l pledge myself to aid my school in Serxice Scholarship Attendance Conduct Welconiing Strangers lhe hxecutiye Qommittee also decided to take up the followin activi tie with committees in char e welcoming strangers lunchroom supervision son boolc distributinf for all assemblies and shower room cleanliness The bixth -Xnnual Banquet ot the Honor bociety was held January I8 V330 in the old auditorium There were about one hundred people present includinv the Honor bociety members and their Uuests This banquet was prepared and seryed by the Parent Teachers -association The auditorium was effectnely decorated in blue and Gold Two new illuminated torches were added to our treasures by ohn Zotz A comical and solemn initiation tool-4 place durinv the course of the ey eninv The climax of the ex eninv was the presentation of a gold torch to Mrs uimby for her unusual interest in the Honor Society and life membership to past Presidents Ruth Brown Ethel 7otz and N ito Barbieri who had accomplished much during their presidency and who are still interested in the life of our society Vlay Berthelso.
