The defense lawyer, 'Rabid One' Robbie Arrol, calls Brenda Biggs to the stand. She argues to the court that Pat had every right to shoot Joe for the embarrassment that he had caused her. Janet 'ShagW Cox is called to the stand and refuses to testify for she is distantly related to Pat Cox and would not want to be partial. Because the last witness, Ann Laymon, is too excited to talk fbelieve it or notil, further ques- tioning is dismissed and the fate of Pat Cox is put into the hands of the jury, composed of Ethel Daily, Marquitta Herrington, Audrey Lan- dreth, Linda McAvene, Diane Myers, and Donna Perkins. Only six jurists are used because they are all womeng women talk things over twice as long before making a decision. After a heated debate the jury arrives at a decision. Head jurist Audrey announces to the court that Pat Cox is to go free on probation if she publishes the results of her freckle remover research.
