As football star, as hubby, friend, Our Billy Perkins' topsg We send to him our best regards And luck--we send him lots! So nice, so quiet, so polite, The keeper of our money-- seniors know this Diane Myers Is really quite a hgney, We A sweet young thing from the country Is amiable Patsy Cox, With a friendly smile and eyes that beguile, And pretty auburn locks. Our rootin', tootin' trumpet king Is Gaylord--Joe's the name. A high-stepping twirler that everyone likes Is dark-haired Virginia Connor, Who, on our school paper, the good Arco-Lite, As editor shared the top honor. In winning smile and posture straight He puts his claim to fame. This Ashley boy is good at art, Though a 'lefty' Roy may be. At summer camp his talent showed For all his friends to see. A genial guy who makes us laugh And farming wants to try, Works hard and long with tools and He's Tom Cox--quite a guy! A friendly gal and first-rate pal Are found in Janet Smart. Her quiet ways and manner sweet Are really quite an art. We have a WTruman'--famous, too, And liked by everyone, He shares his Ford with all of us, This gen'rous Jerry Thompson. A Shonkwiler senior named Myron Has found him a pleasant young wife, Now works hard and well to support herg May each know a happy long life. A smile to remember, exceptional poise, IA beautiful, beautiful voice, Ann Laymon, we feel, will be quite wise indeed If music she makes her first choice. things-- She's full of giggles, full of life, In band she plays the drum, And all who 'Woody' know will say That Donna Rae is fun. Janet Cox is going to collegeg A teacher then she'll be. We wish for her the very best, A worthy goal has she. A tall blond gal we all know well Is slender Patty Harris. She loves to dance with pal Joang A really fun-filled pair, this.

SENIUR CLASS POEM How do they really rate with us, These seniors as we know them? We'll try to put our thoughts in verse And--forgive us--call it a poem. Stan Allen is one of the very best friends A person ever had. We wonder if some day he'll choose to pursue The medical path of his dad. Dave Upholf is quite a nice muscular chap, A football captain he, We know he's approaching the real farming whiz He hopes one day to be. Now Robbie Arrol's an old car fan And the Riders' basketball star. A doctor's life will be his choice: Never doubt it, he'll really go There lives in town an Irishman Who's kingpin in our gymg This Monahan's a jolly guy Known widely as WBig Tim'. A real cute gal's Peggy Phillips, far Especially when leading our yells, She'll make some man a good little wife, Ring out, ring out, wedding bells. A brown-eyed Biggs named Brenda, With long and dark-brown hair, Has pleasant smiles and manners For all of us to share. Audrey Landreth's future's knowng A wife she plans to be. Her many capabilities Aren't hard at all to see. Marquitta Herrington--newspaper gal, HSI' C0lum1'1, Scraps and Scratches , A lucky guy the man wi 1 be That WSkeeterW fin'lly catches. A job to do? Get She's ready, Our Marge is full Reliable and Chumbley-- willing, able. of talent and stable. A Daily we'l1 subscribe to Is Ethel, trim and neat, A pal to Marge and Shirleyg That trio's hard to beat. Down by the old root-beer stand, Working hard through the hot summer days, Who's the nice friendly smile belong to? Shirley Carlberg deserves our praise. He loves to read, he loves to drive, He learns by asking 'Why?W Our Monte Stump's a real,quiz kid, With him it's do or die. She always wears a pretty smile, It's warmth we really feel. For lovely voice and High School Band, Remember Ruth Ann Keal.

To work while you learn and learn while you work Is a plan that suits Dick Prout. He finds a garage a good place to work Whenever school is out. Basketball, football, track or girls, This lad has ways to thrill, A hep-cat dancer--any beat, Tom Romine fills the bill. For Betty Laley, school's a cinch, Especially in commerce-- A teacher's joy in every way, A very special charm, hers. So quiet one would scarcely know That she's in class or hall, A trim and tidy McAvene, Our Linda's liked by all. A deaf'ning roar, a streak of red, A motorcycle's tire gratesg With camera poised, Jack Browning halts To photograph his nTorchW-mates. Our WLittleW farmer, quiet Lloyd, Can blow a sax real coolg He studies Ag, he works quite hard And makes the most of school. Dame Matrimony claimed some girls From this year's senior class. One changed from Idleman to Mood, Blonde Mary Jane's the lass. Another cyclist riding by, Just going for a spin, Is one who fits his nick-name well, It's Moler--Charles, or WSlimW. Our Beverly Guyot changed her name, ,The new last name is Hess. A fine little wife this girl will make, Unless we miss our guess. A youth with electrical leanings Inherited, prob'ly, from dad, Is a whiz on the WTorch' with a camera, Bob Curry's the nsnap-shootingn lad Then next came Reta Vandeveer, It's Headrick now, you know, We thought her cute and likeable, But so did hubby, Joe. She's stepping high with measured tread, Our loyal majoretteg For Harriet Miller well-earned praise Is never hard to get. We've one more senior girl to give To matriomony soon, For Donna Perkins plans to wed-- Perhaps in May--or june? We've one more girl, a Sanders Lass, Joan, we'll recommend As being such a lot of fun And such a loyal friend.
