The class of W56U then consited of 19 girls and 24 boys. At our first class meeting we elected class officers Dean Sanders as President, Phyllis Vickroy as Vice-President, Dee Lindenmeyer as Secretary, and Denny Johnson as Treasurer. Our Homecoming Queen's attendent was Carol Bilbrey and her escort was Dee Lindenmeyer. Our Homecoming Float for that year was cal1edWRocket to Victoryn. we had a class party in the highschool gym in January. When we left school for summer vacation we were more intelligent and ready for our sophomore year. Our class officers for the sophomore year were Dean Sanders an President, Jack Fishel as Vice-President, Phyllis Vickroy as Secretary, and Denny Johnson as Treasurer. Our homecoming float was WWe'll Flush Down the Oaks' Linen. In November we went to Mattoon roller skating as a class party. Our class officers for this junior year, which we elected at the end of our soph- more year to make things easier for our first class meeting this year, are Dean Sanders as President, Jack Fishel as Vice-President, John Vanvooris as Secretary, and Phyllis Vickroy and Dee Lindenmeyer as Treasurers. We had a special meeting in September to order our class rings. Our Homecoming Queen's attendent was Gale Evans and Dean Sanders was her escort. Our homecoming float was WWe'll String up Another Victoryn. We won nothinf on it.
