enior Blass Hi tor when we seniors entered our first year of high school we were as green as all freshmen. We selected green and gold for our class colors and UGreen but Growingu as our motto. Our class officers for that year were: Jim Pullen, Presidentg Mickey Strader, Vice-Presidentg Jerry Douglas, Secretary, and Roger Logan, Treasurer. when homecoming rolled aroung we elected Sharon Cuppy to be our Queen's attendent. Her escort was Mickey Strader. Our float won first prize in the Homecoming parade that year with the slogan WEat Um Up So we Can Crown. In the spring we had a backwards party and played all the games backwards. How- ever, when we left school for the summer vacation we did not feel as Nbackwardu as we had at the beginning of the year. when the class came back as silly sophomores the next fall there were still fifty or more of us and we had a noisy first class meeting. Mickey Strader was our president that year, Doris Johns our vice-president, Kay Eversole our secretaryg and Roger Logan was re-elected treasurer. We added to our first year motto and made it WGreen but Growing Riper . Our flower was the apple blossom and the colors were black and white. At the homecoming meeting we elected Ann McCoskey to be our Queen's attendent. Her escort was Terry Clark. In November we had a farewell party for Jim Reimer who was moving to Kansas, Illinois. Junior officers were elected that spring in order to have things better organized to start school next year. They were: Mickey Strader, President Sharon Guppy, Vice-President, Kay Eversole, Secretary, and Gayle Gilbert, Treasurer. When we came back to school the next fall we settled down to a busy school year and began scheduling all kinds of money-making activities. when homecoming time came we elected Dorothy Jacob as our Queen's attendent. Her escort was Larry Bushu. The big argyle sock on our float that we worked so hard and long on was blown over by the wind, while in the parade, before it even got up town. In November we had a roller skating party. It was held at the Silver Star Skating Rink near Nattoon. we went on a school bus and had lots Our two biggest projects, next to the magazine The first event was our class play, WCheaper by the greed was a big hit. We had decided earlier in the instead of the customauy trip to Chicago. The Prom of fun. sale in February, came in the spring Dozenn, of which most people a- year to have a Prom for the seniors was held in May at the Garden Room of the Urkana-Lincoln Hotel. We had a delicious meal and a very entertaining program at the banquet. Bob Norman's band furnished the music for the dance afterward. We are very grateful to our class advisors, Mr. Dunn, Mrs. Halverson, and Mr. Chris- tensen, for the help they gave us during our eventful junior year. Forty three students made up our senior class. The class officers were: Rog- er Logan, President, Byron Little, Vice-Presidentg Kay Eversole, Secretary, and Terry Clark, Treasurer. Our Homecoming Queen was Doris Johns. Her escort was Co-Captain Mickey Strader. Her senior attendent was Kay Eversole whose escort was Go-Captain Bob Moore. Our float WWe'll Net The Bulliesn did not place in the parade. The senior class play Wraps was a Preachern eoualed the junior one in being a fine presentation which was perhaps due to the excellent directing of Miss Arent en who directed both of our plays. In March we staged a variety show and dance to add some funds to our treasurey so that we could take our long awaited senior trip in the spring. Norma Key Bob Smith Lilly Daily Kay Eversols
