Text from Pages 1 - 168 of the 1983 volume:

Fun... Filled the 1982-83 school yeor. Included was everything from cheering rhe ream on ro making faces in Home-ec. Steve and his crew kept rhe halls busy while juniors really added 'pizzazz' to the classroom. Home- coming • • • Trodirion was the key to another homecoming weekend. 5herrie Barnett wos crowned football sweetheart of the pep roily. Exes enjoyed o reo In the afternoon. Teresa McDaniel wos crowned homecoming queen at half- time os the Wildcats defeated Petrolio 14-0. Friends • • • Had good rimes Together os they met each doy at ACHS. Seeing each other in doss, in the halls, joking with teachers, and maybe, studying together occasionally, were all happy rimes when friends were together. Classes ... Ranged from history, English, and math to exciting chemistry experiments. Many students benefitred from learning CPR with Annie. Building Mr. Shearmire's goroge taught carpentry to others. Typing, accounting, ond getting the annual and newspaper finished on time occupied many hours. « Seniors••• Engaged in activities rang- ing from puppetry to com- puters to art. Senior students packed this last year of high school full of memories — memories of friends, study, and fun. Preparing for the future brought o hint of sadness ro rhe end of o happy four years, bur hopes for rhe future were high. 12 People... Give character ro ACHS in many ways. Members of rhe football ream, livestock ex- hibitors, scholars, and clowns all added their dimensions in making each week something special. Sports... Play an active parr In the lives of many students at ACH5. Parriclpanfs and spec- tators alike are kept busy dur- ing the fall and winter months with football and basketball activities. In the spring, students enjoy track, tennis, baseball, and golf. Jr.-Sr. Banquet Brought both smiles ond reors to the 1983 seniors. Stairway to Heaven was the rheme and the decora- tions were beautiful. The seniors read the will and the juniors read the prophecy. Many enjoyed the dance after the banquet. 18 T HONORS 1 Air. and Aiiss ACUS ■ men Anici School spirit won't be the some without Karen Aulds.
