Homecoming arrived And girls received mums of Black and white. The crowd watched as the Cats pulled their first victory of the season, with a 16 6 defeat over the Olney Cubs. At halftime, Dorcyle, Demese, and Mary Beth stepped out on the field to watch as Cathy Morrison was crowned Homecoming Queen People . . . A Time for Fun and Memories We each made new friends In this land of fun. Which left a mark on each of our minds. We'd laugh together, win together, and play together Each day. seeing the face of a student who did a cra y thing, won a great Classes. . . A Time for Learning Then came time for learning As odd as it may seem. But that is the way It’s supposed to be. He was a stro participant in U.I.L. in which he was a State Champ in Sli Rule for two consecutive years. He was also a State Finalist Number Sense. Carlton is an outstanding leader and will truly missed in the upcoming years at A.C.H.S. Miss ACH8 Cathy Morrison Cathy Morrison can be described as friendly, like- able, and an outstanding beauty at A.C.H.S. Throughout the time, she has spent at A.C.H.S. she has been Football Sweetheart, Homecoming Queen, and Friendliest. She has also been a cheerleader, class officer, and class favorite each of her four years. Cathy has brought sunshine to everyone, at A.C.H.S. and she will be extremely missed. Most Handsome Scott Myers Most Handsome is an award given to the best- looking guy in the high school. During this time and age, there were several young men acceptable for this award, but because of his warm blue eyes and super-attractive smile, Scott Myers, a senior, was chosen Most Handsome. School Beauty Carla Akers School Beauty is awarded to the most beautiful gal in the high school. As the time rolled by, there was one particular young lady that was the apple of everyone’s eye. Carla Akers, a senior, was voted School Beauty because of her charm, personality, and natural beauty. Home- Coming Queen Cathy Morrison The time for choosing Homecoming Queen was during football season. The entire student body voted for one of 4 girls selected by the Junior and Senior classes for this award. This year Cathy Morrison won the award. Other nominees were Dorcyle Gosler, Mary Beth Gage, and Deniese Williams. The award was given to a Senior, Cathy Morrison, for her outstanding devotion to cheerleading her entire high school years. Band Sweetheart Donna Shearmire V •• p X,1 fffi. Band Sweetheart is an award given to the gal whom the band feels has been the best example of a leader. This was the time for Donna Shearmire as she was given this award. She has contributed her entire high school years to playing the Flute. Donna has won several awards on her flute and has helped the band earn outstanding ratings.
