The next game was against the Electra Tigers, another AA football team, the Wildcats were defeated by a score of 30-0. The next encounter was with their strong rival from Olney. The Cubs, undefeated in their two previous games, set the Wildcats back by a score of 26-2. The last non-district game was against Decatur, the winner over highly-rated Jacksboro, and the 1965 champions of 9AA. The Wildcats were defeated by a score of 20-0. The opening district game was played at Munday. The Wildcats started the district in hopes of defending their title as 11-A Champions. The Munday game was a dis- play of defense and both teams played their hearts out. The game ended 0-0. The Wildcats, still alive in district play met their arch rivals, the Henrietta Bear- cats, at Berry Stadium. This again was a hard fought defensive battle with the Wildcats pulling out with a 8-0 victory in the last two minutes of play. The third district game was with the Eagles of Holliday, who were rated 9th in the Class A rating for State. Once again it turned out to be a defensive battle between the two Archer County clubs and the game ended at 0-0. Next, the Wildcats played host to Paducah and this was another thrilling game. The Dragons pulled out a 6-0 victory in the final second of the hard fought game, and spoiled the Wildcats' homecoming. Crowell, undefeated in district play, defeated the Wildcats whose spirits were low and had little determination 41-8. The final game of the 1965 season was played at Knox City where the Wildcats were defeated by a score of 21-16. Robert Tepfer All-District Guard Jimmy Boone Honorable Men.
