Enghsh The English Department works closely with the student body in setting up the department's curriculum. The students' evaluations have been invaluable in the selection of courses to meet their divergent needs and interests. The English Department is committed to the reaching of language skills for effective communication and the teaching of literature for enioyment and self- evaluation. Phydcal Educahon The purpose of the P.E. Department is to give the students a chance to participate in the sport of their choice. Business The ever-expanding Business Department is growing to meet the continuing demand for knowledge of the practical aspects of everyday living, covering everything from Advanced Accounting to Basic Typewriting. Business students take courses which help them to decide whether or not to pursue a career in related business areas. Guidance The purpose of the Guidance Department is to meet the various academic and personal needs of the students of Rummel High School. ln addition to personal contact, which students may have with their counselors at any time, there is a vast amount of material available for their use. Materials include such things as college catalogs and yearbooks, and various pamphlets and brochures on careers and professions.
