Soccer For the second year in a row the Raider soccer team captured the district title with 7-1-1 overall record. Under the coaching of Brother Alphonse Le Blanc, the team overcame inconsistent play early in the season to advance to the city play-offs for the third consecutive year. Rummel, however, failed to capture the city championship as they lost in the playoffs to Country Day, the eventual city Champs in a game that saw 90 minutes of non-stop action, the Raiders were defeated by the Caiuns l-O in sudden death overtime. Led by captains Allen Buiol, Casey Geohegan, and Brian Smith, the Raider offense racked up a respectable 20 goals in nine games while the defense allowed only 4.
