KENNEDY - On September 20, the Raiders made the Kennedy Cougars their fourth straight victim of the '75 season. The defense scored 8 points in this game while the Cougars could only score 6 points on the Raiders. At the horn the score read Rummel 21, Kennedy 6. SHAW - Opening district game. The Eagles used the whole first quarter, with the help of two interference penalties to score on the Raiders. The defense played extremely well the rest of the game. Although the offense threatened to score, they couldn't put points onthe board. Shaw won 7'6. ST. AUG. - Another setback. The defense played well with the exception of a few big plays, while the offense was stymied. Total offense was less than IOO yards. The State champions beat Rummel 19-6, their last six points coming on a desperation pass interception. A EN lt.

BROTHER MARTIN - Without a doubt, this was the best game, offensively, of the '75 campaign. The offense worked to perfection. The defense was tenacious and the Raiders had their first district win, 28-14. CHALMETTE - A good game lost in homecoming activities. Two good teams slugged it out for 48 minutes but Rummel's Super Ants mode all the difference when they blocked a punt, giving the offense the break they needed to edge the Owls 7-0. HOLY CROSS - The Tigers became the Raider's third straight victim on Halloween Night l975. The Super Ant defense made it two shut-outs in a row and the Thundering Herd offense tallied three times in the third quarter to make the score 20-O.
