Language Spanish class brings back memories. I will never forget the Spanish luncheon we had at Don Quixote’s Restaurant. The spicy at- mosphere filled the whole dining area. We ate many varieties of food including chicken, fish, and beef. It was good, but I'll stick with American. When our feast was finished, we ob- served a flamenco dancer. She discussed the history of the art and even pulled a student on stage to help her perform. It was an enjoyable day, providing me with a flavor of Spain, and I didn’t have to worry about drinking the water. (top right) The French language becomes alive in Room 307. Social Studies If you wander through life oblivious of world affairs, as I did when I was a Sophomore, your best bet was to take Social Studies II. This class was unlike any other in the school. Instead of a regular textbook, Time magazine was used. Each Tuesday I looked forward to receiving my copy. Time was full of interesting articles and colorful pictures. Each day I learned something new; this class was never boring. Seriously, this course kept me up-to-date on world issues that affect all of us. The year I had the course. Americans were held hostage in Iran and the United States welcomed a new president. Everyone in my class discussed topics like these and formed their 'personal biases.” I really learned a lot that year because it was a stimulating class.
