Gallagher check over the announcements before going on the air. 75 FOOTBALL Coach John McMonamin issues a verdict: “Two more laps, fellas. There's no sympathy from Coach John Sorber. Archbishop Kennedy's scurrying Saints proved themselves this year to be an enthusiastic and determined team. The season opened with a tew impressive victories, including an exciting win over arch-rival Bishop Kenrick. However, injuries plagued the team, and the Saints entered a five-game losing streak. They played hard and accepted their losses with pride in their endeavors. AKHS is proud of this team, who have made their presence felt far and wide. John AAcMenamin and John Sorber are Great Coaches. They are not great simply because of the two championship titles gained by the Kennedy gridsmen in their three years of coaching. Their influence on the boys, as far as making them men, has been their biggest accomplishment and one worth noticing. These coaches have installed in the team enthusiasm, determination, and most important — a feeling of true sportsmanship. Front Row: V. Flocco, Head Coach J. McMenamin, F. Salvi, N. Salamone, G. As our senior year at Archbishop Ken- nedy High School draws to a close, we look back on the past four years with a few sor- rows but many joys. We have left our childhood behind us; ahead lies adulthood and the world. Everything that we have learned in high school, especially in our senior year, will prove to be an asset to us in future life. Under the leadership of our class offi- cers—George Mercadante, Mary Kelly, Carol Zollo, and Linda Marano—the Senior Class of 1967 has gained wisdom of life and a sense of responsibility which it otherwise would not have possessed. 105 ANNETTE M.
