Girls' Basketball Goes To Districts The girls' basketball season was brought to a close with an impressive 9-5 record in regular season games. Under the coaching of Kathy Nelson, the girls worked diligently to improve confidence and co-ordination as well as skills. It was this kind of determination that resulted in such a fine season record which enabled the team to ad- vance to sectionals. Continuing their success, the team became sectional champs by defeating Woodridge 45-37 and Bedford Lumen Cordium 46-33. Districts were the next stop, and St. V.-M was the scheduled opponent. Un- fortunately, our team was defeated, yet it Was a commendable effort by the girls. They lost by only one point 34-35. The youth and strength of this team promises future success.
