George McNeill, Philip Inskip, Merle McCann, Rollo Guthridge la, Ile was without doubt the most diflicult and most powerful play ,Q l presented this year. lt is a cruel sea tragedy of elemental passions. E I l Henry Ramsey, as the stern, hard, whaling captain, Keeney, and l Margaret Cartlich, as Annie, his wife, who cannot stand the hard i life on the whaling schooner, did exceptional acting and took their parts perfectly. Captain Keeney was divided between love for his wife and a desire to keep up his reputation by filling his ship with ile. He chose the Mile and drove his wife mad. Ile was given first in the grammar school before the student body. It was talked about so much that the College asked for it to be given before an as- sembly there. In March it was presented in Eureka at the Annual l County Play program. 'Op 0' me Thumb was presented at an assembly and repeated HK for a public program of the Parent Teacher Association.
