Mabel Frankie To catalog the list of Junior accomplishments would be a long and difficult task, there are so many. The Juniors are certainly the busy class and have worked hard in fulfilling their new duties of upper classmen. Juniors and drarnatics have proved an encouraging combination this year. Many Juniors became interested in drama and were seen behind the footlights for the first time, both as actors and back- stage men. Some have been in the numerous one-act plays given, while others represented the class in the longer and more difficult plays. This interest is very encouraging for future presentations. A great many Juniors are members of the Sock and Buskin Club. The scholastic record of the Junior class shows several Regu- 1ars on the honor roll. Some of the departments of the Advance were directed by Junior staff members. Usually conceded a Senior award, the Lincoln essay medal was won by a Junior this year. The Juniors, of course, are among the best in athletics. They donated good material to both class and school teams. One finds Juniors in the band, in several orchestras, in the glee club-they are musicians. In short, there are Juniors everywhere. The class is well start- ed on its upper class journey to Senior leadership. , swlses,f...w.. , , 1 vs Q 1' f 1 ' 'la' :sf If- :, - '.'1'f'..-z.h.q ' ' W ' 'ifmyawlmmwmm H 1 141.511 , , , ,

Katherine Donnelly The year just completed has proved a big one for the class of '29, It is difficult to find any one outstanding feature of the many activities they participated in, but music may easily be conceded a prominent place in Sophomore history. One-fourth of the band is composed of Sophomores. As upper classmen usually maintain a majority in most school activities, the Sophomores may well be proud of this representation. The school orchestra also has a large Sophomore membership. Much music for the school dances is furnished by Sophomores, showing their ver- satility. In athletics, Sophomores are, of course, active. When limited basketball is mentioned, the class of '29 at once comes to mind. Football, track, tennis, and baseball-all hold Sophomore interest. Dramatics forms another phase of Sophomore zest, as illustrated in Twelfth Night and 'Op-0-Me-Thumb. Music, athletics, dramatics-these accomplishments show that the Sophomores have not lacked school spirit. Rather, they have furnished a great deal of it in completing their duties as under-class- men. ,.,!
