Superintendent? Message Members of the graduating class of 1962, you are to be congratulated upon reaching another milestone in your educational training. No period in history has even been as challenging as the present time. I feel sure that you are equal to the challenge. ln the hope that this might help you reach your goals, I offer these suggestions: Have faith that good will win out over evil, and a deep respect for all the rights of every individual. Opportunities will .come your way. When they do, be ready to make important decisions. This means that you will need to be well informed. Therefore, you must continue to learn. Ralph Waldo Emerson said: Americais but another name for opportunity. I believe that was true then and is now. Congratulations to all of those who have made it possible toproduce the 1962 Arcette. I am grate' ful to the annual staff, the yearbook sponsor, and friends of the Arcanum School, for this publication. MR. MILDRED FOLKERT H SECRETARY to the Principal Princzjvalis' Message Proudly we shall watch the Senior Class of 1962 receive their diplomas. In England the ceremony is termed the passing out exercises. More meaning- ful is commencement with the subtle suggestion of the beginning, the threshold, a crossroad important in the search for 1ife's endeavor. Twelve years of education is sufficient for an hon- est appraisal of abilities and hopes to be achieved. Some of you have decided on goalsg some of you are still debating. In either case you may make com- mencement a focal point into which you can pour the entirety of your years of preparation to achieve clearness of purpose and unquestionable integrity. As Shakespeare said: To thine own self be true, And it must follow as the Night the day. Thou canst not Then be false to any man. That you find happiness is our sincere wish.
