In June, Debbie Reynolds, Audra Neighbors, and Barbie Klaverkamp, went to Columbia for three days to State F.H.A. - Hero Meeting. In October there was a Regional Officers meeting in Cape Girardeau. Shari Flowers was chosen the Super-Star member in our club. In December, F.H.A. caught the Christmas spirit. We made stockings for the Head Start and filled them with candy. We plan regular monthly programs and these include a Chapter dinner and other programs of interst to the members. 12

It’s purpose is to foster interest in drama and to improve individual dramatic ability. Sitting - Melissa Bennett, Phyllis Macalady, Greta Mitchell, Jill Schroer, Tina Pryor, Holly Chambers, Lisa Thomlinson, Shari Flowers, Theresa Nichols Standing - Tammy York, Laura Strubinger, Joyce Becwar, Julie Allen, Pam Murphy, Alice Johnson, Mandi Liggett, Pam Aligier, Sondra Swiney, Julie Williams Future Teachers of America (FT A) is affiliated with the Missouri State FTA Chapter and was sponsored by Mrs. Shirley Henry. The organization recognized American Education Week in November with daily surprises for the teachers by “secret pal” members of FTA, and on the final day, donuts and coffee were provided for each teacher’s lounge. This year FTA participated in one group money making project - a volleyball-a-thon. Probably the greatest contribu- tion made by FTA was the sponsorship of an active, successful Cadet Teaching Program. F.T.A.
