ANYTHING GOES PROVES THAT ALMOST ANYTHING DOES GO! Date: May 11, 1979. Place: Arcadia Valley High School Gym. It was time for the Second Annual Anything Goes Competition to begin. The tension mounted as seven teams competed in such events as the Wheelbarrow Race, a Volleyball game, and Arm Wrestling. After all the points were totaled and the crowd was quieted the Drama and Debate Club was announced as the overall winner of the three day event. Competition was heated in the newspaper race. ATHLETIC BANQUET The annual Athletic Banquet was held on May 4. This proved to be a touching situation as both of the High School coaches are leaving to take business jobs. Awards were given in all sports at A.V. and outstanding players were named in each sport. Those winners were: Golf - Basketball - Mark Archambault; Track - Patti Wallen and Tim Sweeney; Girls Basketball - Eleanor Carr; Golf - Laurie Collins; Baseball - Jimmy Harper; Volleyball - Susie Phegley. Coach Erp looks at some of the mementoes presented to him at the banquet. Coach Pen was also given some things to remember his days at AVHS. 9
