Text from Pages 1 - 112 of the 1968 volume:

D ckcatlott In today’s world all too often people are not concerned with their fellow man. America’s heritage requires that individuals be concerned and willing to help others. This concern and willingness to help does not stem from pity for others or a hope of material reward. It stems from genuine interest in others. The only reward comes from the knowledge that at least one other person’s life has been enriched. For striving to encourage at all times students and faculty toward higher goals both for themselves and their country, for having brought forth a distinct change in the attitude of the students and faculty concerning the school and its activities; for these things, with gratitude, we dedicate the 1968 TIGER to our principal. Mr. Jim Maguffee. Tige Sta TOP: Joe Manning - Photographs: Phil Tatum - Sponsor; Jeff DeVore - Editor; Jim Finley - Spon- sor; Scotty Butler - Sports. Pou M — Cuptoitdetukwb ofr Qckook Our Nation and the entire World are in a period of ferment brought about by forces which tend to disorganize and destroy the society in which we live. Todays youth will inherit the responsibility of leading our Nation in the future against these forces. Some of these unknown leaders can be found within our own student body and will make contributions which will provide solutions for the perplexing ills of our society. The educational opportunity which is being offered to you by the Arcadia Valley Schools will prepare you for this important future if you will take advantage of it. Be alert, work up to your capabilities, and take your place among the leaders. 5 TV P JUvClfyC Jtim D.
