Text from Pages 1 - 110 of the 1966 volume:

We Dedicate Our Yearbook How shall we give our thanks to thee ...By hope--by work--by faith-all three 1 For years of devotion to Arcadia Valley High School, for a relentless effort to improve the school, for un- told hours spent on others, and, above all, for her commendable teaching, we, the Tiger staff, respectfully dedi- cate this 1965-66 Tiger to you Mrs. Ruth Lewis To a Woman Who Herself Is Dedicated Tiger Staff As editor of the 1965-66 TIGER I would like to express my thanks not only to my staff, but to Mr. James Hodge and the entire faculty. Their hard work and patience were greatly appreciated. This year’s TIGER belongs to you as a member of this school. Many changes have been made this year that we hope will add to the yearbook. A yearbook is a treasure that, in years to come, cannot be measured in value, only in memories. My one wish is that this year's TIGER meets the expectations of everyone at ARCADIA VAL- LEY HIGH. Thank you, 4 Administration Superintendent At no time in our nation’s history has there been as much emphasis placed on the importance of education as there is today. As we look at our school system we must recognize the effort being made to offer to the boys and girls of Arcadia Val- ley a broadened educational program to meet the needs of today's society. As your Superintendent of Schools I would urge that each of you take advantage of the op- portunity you have to adequately prepare yourself for future endeavors. As you con- tinue your educational pursuits or enter the fields of employment, it is my hope that you will look back, on your days in Arcadia Valley High School with pride and that you will have a feeling of satisfaction for your accomplishments while a student here. 1 am proud to be a part of your school life and to be associated with such a fine student body. I hope for each of you every success you desire. 6 School Board Mr. Louie Young, Mr. Herb Lackamp, Mr. Walter Manning, Mr. Arthur Stark, Mr. Walter Spitzmiller, Mr. Walt- er Sellers, Mr. Marvin Powell. All that the world has been or will be is due to the children of the past or present. They have provided faith in the past, joy in the present and hope in the fu- ture.
