Jesse Pearson . . . R. L. Edgar . . Kathleen Marr We know of no better way to record and preserve the highlights of the school year than by means of the school annual. It is with a great deal of pride that we have watched the growth of each issue of THE TIGER since 1945. This growth and im- provement has been due chiefly to higher ideals set up by the Staff. We are sure that the present issue will live up to past stand- ards. May you enjoy your 1957 TIGER at present and treasure it in the years to cornel H. E. GRAYUM SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS 92 Superintendent H. E. GRAYUM and hts Family Left To Right; Jimmy, Mr. Grayum, Elinor, Mrs. Grayum, Ronald, Richard Principal James Brinkopf School year 1956-57 at its com- pletion is just another school year as the Tiger is sent to press by its hard work- ing staff and sponsor, but how will it appear at some future date. Only you, the reader or viewer of the future can tell if it was a successful year. Did the work and effort of our administration and faculty pay dividends to the students that attended here this year, or were they turned out un- rewarded? Was our student body a dedi- cated group with a sincere desire of knowledge? As you look and read I im- agine some of these questions will au- tomatically be answered, just how, only you will know. WILMA STRINGER Girls1 Physical Education This gives me an opportunity to thank all of those students who have made this a pleasant year for me to teach at Ironton High. Although there have been disagreements with various stu- dents, the majority of you have been cooperative and willing to make every phase of the total school program a success. Best wishes to all the graduating seniors and may all of your worthwhile acti- vities in the future be successful MK. BILL WEBB Vocational Agriculture I, II, III, IV 96 97 E. H. WITGES Music MR. They enjoy themselves when inside and outside of school, and that is the way the youth of today should live. IHS students should strive to uphold their black and gold as students of the past have done—because it is a good school.
