Last year as Freshmen we chose as our class motto, Going Higher Toward Success , red and white carnation as our class flower, and white and blue as our class colors. As Sophomores we have taken another step, Going Higher Toward Suc- cess and have turned to more important things. We presented a one-act comedy, Elmer and the Lovebug. We initiated the Freshmen, presented an Assembly Program, and spon- sored the annual March of Dimes , all with satisfying success. Having chosen their class colors of blue and gold, their flower, the yellow rose, and motto, Cooperation Means Success during their Freshman year, the class of '47 is nearing its Senior year. On November I6 they presented their first dramatic production, Lady Wake Up. As a class they have participated whole-heartedly in music, athletics and other activities. Their Junior year had its climax when on May IO they entertained the Seniors at the Junior-Senior Banquet. The Freshman class started their high school career under the personal guidance of Mrs. Harkness. Next they ventured into their most important activity which was to select their class motto, color, and flower. They partici- pated in athletics, music, and several assembly programs, and were initiated into the F.H.A. and F.F.A. organizations.
