September Back to school ,with a newly painted building. M-m-m-m-m-m-m beautiful. Cheerleading tryouts. Lucky winners, Donna, Sarah, and Jean. Out for fair. Oh, joy! ! ! Full week this time. Class meetings to- day. Yearly officers elected. Yeah, Democrats! ! ! We played at Vanlue, their favor l3-O. Good start. Class rings arrived. Let me see your ring? Stork visited the Groth residence. An- other boy. Oh, well, better luck next time. Football dance this evening. Won't it ever stop raining. October Freshman and Sophomore party. Watch out, Greenies. Senior pictures taken this evening. Adopted mascot, a cat, christened, Char- ley H-A-L Senior. Annual staff announced. Let's get busy. Arcadia entertains district F.H.A. girls. Queenie lthe dogi helps Mr. Groth with a chemistrylexperiment. No school. Teachers meeting. Happy day! ! l Senior proofs arrive. G-R-O-A-N. November Football squad went to Ohio State foot- ball game. Oh, Wilford ! ! ! Played Rawson and won. Ohio State hasn't got anything on us! P.T.A. Drama Class and Music Depart- ment presented the program.. Junior play. Swell! ! ! No School. Hunting season opens. Run, bunny, run? Thanksgiving. No school. Pass the bi- carbonate. December Advertising committee went to sell ads. high pressure salesmen? Teams chosen for annual sales. , Drama class presents the radio play, For Mister Jim, at W.F.l.N. Class pictures arrive. Surprise! ! ! They weren't so bad. l9. Christmas program this evening. Choir rather short handed. Everyone has the flu. 20. Christmas vacation begins. 24. Miss Swarat changed her name to Mrs. Harkness. January, 1946 l. Happy New Year. Take it easy kids!!! 2. Aspirin! 3. Senior Class received a card fronfi Mag- dalene, but Mr. Groth receives letters. Could it really be??? 4. Played Mt. Cory here. 'We won at last, 30-27. 22. Seniors go to trial. That p-o-o-r little lady??? 23. Seniors were given a party by Mrs. Graham. Had lots of fun. 28. P. T. A. Tears and more tears, the come- dies didn't arrive. February 7. Group pictures. l guess they'll have to send Ramon away. l4. First session of tournament. Why don't the lights go out more often? l6. Arcadia played at tournament, but got cut out. 20. Seniors ordered commencement invita- tions, make up your rnind girls. 23. Senior class sold at tournament. Made quite a haul. March 8. Dramatics class and Sophomores present several one-act plays. They were O. K. ll. P. T. A. Good program. 22. Operetta, The Waltz Drea.m, present- ed. Very good. 29. Sug has assembly, aided by 'Dramatics Class. April l2. Grade cards. We're heading into the home stretch. 19. Good Friday. No school. 22. Our last P. T. A. for this year. 26. Senior class play. Something new has been added. Very good, indeed! May lO. Junior-Senior Banquet at Elks. We had a swell time, Juniors. l2. Baccalaureate services. The Seniors really look dignified. l7. Commencement. We Made lt!!! So now we bid good-bye to good old R. K. D. --af FL Senior Class Play Enid Temple returns from New York to care for her grandfather and to run away from a love that would embitter him. ln a game with Lorry St. John she tempts the fates to show the face of her loved one. A face does appear, that of Blake Surdival whom Enid has renounced. Blake has returned to his old home in the garden next to Enid's. Then Enid tells him the story of the hatred between her grandfather and David Fathering and David's determination to bring her grandfather to l'LIII'I.
