The Social Sciences create an atmo- sphere that deals with people and time and covers the diversity of the world simultaneously. History, the most common term asso- ciated with the Social Sciences, is only one facet of this large learning experi- ence. lt involves a study of the world in times past with the purpose in mind to find the mistakes made and try to prevent them in the future-or some- times recognize them after they are made.
