BEST CITIZENS Allen Shepherd and Kaye Mullins were selected by the High School Staff as best Citi- zens of the year. Outstanding Students are nominated by the faculty and selected by a vote of the student body. This year’s Junior High Outstanding Students are Nancy Sappington and Clendon Parkhurst. Senior High Outstanding Students Kim Preston and Kenny Daugherty were also named Mr. and Mrs. A.H.S. and are pictured on page 8 and 9. OUTSTANDING STUDENTS

SENIORS ARE ANNUAL KING AND QUEEN FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW. This year the seniors captured the crowns again in the Annual King and Queen competition! King and Queen are Ronda McDow and Ivan McDow. Other candidates were: David Watson and Donna Ruther- ford; Kevin Donelson and Leslie Carter; Clendon Parkhurst and Susan Muno.

MRS. AHS Her world is as varied as are her moods, as undefina- ble as she is. Some days it's filled with telephone calls and talking for hours just to catch up on all the latest gossip. Other days, the solitude of her room where she becomes sentimental again . . . about dried corsages, old letters and cards, and listening to those old but special songs! Kim was also nominated by the teachers and voted on by the student body as the Outstanding High School Girl.
