Homecoming 1977 started precisely at 7:00 p.m. The girls were out on the court ready and raring to go. The game started but ended with the score Hammon 56 and Arapaho 37. It was a good game and the girls worked hard. In between games the Homecom- ing ceremonies were done. The whole ballteam marched in and lined up, then the candidates were announced. Then the moment we had all been waiting for, the winners were Melanie Roll and Kirk Miller. We all marched out and the boys game got underway. The game was very exciting and the boys were ahead at halftime. The cheerleaders went up in the stands and sat down as the skit began. They were called down on the floor as if they were doing a television show. Then they went into the dressing room and came out with three very beautiful contestants to compete in their “Miss Twinkletoes Contest. ' The audience judged the contestants and the winner was Ray Carr. Then the second half began as the boys moved out and won, Arapaho 58 and Hammon 56. The whole night really was a success.
