Cowt 9tigA SxAa t Coin, CMxifioma Dedication This 1952 issue of The Warrior is dedicated to fond memories of fine programs and excising competition which for three years were enjoyed by natrons and students of the Corn community before the now famous tornado of June 8, 1951 levelled the gym, shop building and Home Economics cottage. Taking the loss as a challenge, we have built back more than we lost. Rooms for high- school classes were added to the new auditor- ium. No longer will it be necessary for the typing, study hall and English classes to meet in the basement of the old building. Several minor changes in the auditorium will add much to its comfort and usefulness. Adding a ceiling will aid in warming the large area and will improve the acoustics. Visitors will be accommodated with separate rooms in the increased dressing area. Modern ceiling speakers spaced over a wide area will im- prove the public address system. Consider this your invitation to attend a program in our new building and share with us the thrill of using this new, modern rlart. The Results The Rafters from the gym, The gym floor Our class room building. Nothing worth saving. Steltlngs Car. Where shall we start? P «. Board of Education E. B. Krewall Member A. C. Mrs. Henry Hege has fought the price war successfully for us another lunch year. A once-popular fad returned to our campus with the cooperation of coach Vogt. Every spare moment finds players and audience. In fact, teachers had to keep a sharp eye on several students who would have gladly skipped classes for another set of table tennis. 'When the four o(clock bell rang each day a line began to form. Mr. Mohr gave his time to free lessons many hours this past school year. This private, after-school practice will result in a better Band for Corn in future years. Playing band music at ball games is not a new thing. However, it was a special pleasure to see Mr. Mohr drag out his bass fiddle when his drummers couldn't play at our Colony game. The popular music was enjoyed by the audience and players alike.
