BAPTIST BANQUET The Baptists gave the Seniors of I954 a banquet held in the annex. A theme of Red Roses was carried out, forthe class flower was the red rose. Doctor Cobb from the University of Corpus Christi gave the main talk to the students. A trio, also from the University of Corpus Christi, sang a medley of songs, both spiritual and popular. METHODIST MEXICAN SU PPER The Methodists honored the Seniors with a Mexican Supper held in the back yard of the Educational Annex. A theme of Pan-Americanismu was cdrried out in the decorations and program. Mr. Boehnke gave the Seniors a short talk, and then they were entertained with a Mexican Dance and several tumbling acts by the Junior High School from Corpus Christi. PRESBYTERIAN PARTY The Presbyterians gave the Seniors a coke party,and provided them with a show afterwards. The refreshments consisted of cookies, nuts, and cokes. Then the Seniors were taken down to the Rialto Theater to see Jivaro starring Fer- nando Lamas and Rhonda Fleming. The Seniors of 1954 appreciated the time and trouble taken by the various churches to make their last year a time of ioy and happiness. 75
