She placed first in H e a d li ne Writing and placed in fo ur other contests to give her an average high enough to take the second place honors. , , I J! ? I ,II Jeannie Kaufman broke all school records with a first place in State Senior Girls Declamations. The cup was awarded the school, and Jeannie r e c eived the gold medal she is wearing.

Other speakers were Jeannie Kaufman, Salutatorian, and Jackie Meredith, Valedic- torian. Merits of Award were aw a r ded those students with out-standing achieve- ments in the various activities of the school.
