The heavy burden of responsibility belongs to the parents but to aid them in the task, they summon the school in the formation of their children. The Catholic school realizing that every method of education founded wholly or in part on the denial or forgetfulness of original sin and grace and relying on the sole powers of human nature, is unsound, sets up activities which include the spiritual, intellectual, and physical. ' I Spiritual goodness can be attained by offering with the priest the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass each morning in the chapel and the reception of Holy Communion- the Sacrament of Penance always available-the Perpetual Rosary sponsored by the Sodality-the annual Retreat-the participation in Mission activities- the guidance of the Homeroom Counselor and the Director of' Christian Formation. Intellectual goodness can be attained both in classes and clubs, by application to mental tasks that involve memory and understanding. The constant application to the cultivation of the mind, in spite of difficulty will strengthen the will to s after what is good. Physical goodness can be attained by participation in the athleti pr am, which includes competitive sports for those who are capable o th and the compulsory physical education program for all.
