REV. EDWARD J. CHRISTOPH REV. RICHARD J. JEFFREY, C.S B REV MICHAEL B. BIONDI, C.S.B. 0 Seldom does the occasion which inspires the dedication of a yearbook lend itself with so much significance to the persons honored, the students honoring and the world in which we all must live. All of this is found in the dedication of the 'l95l Arete to eleven former Aquinas students who in this year will be ordained to the priesthood. The vocation to the priesthood is not a personal gift to the priest. Rather it is an anointing that he may administer to his fellow men in the things that apper- tain to God. Every high-priest, says St. Paul, taken from among men, is ordained for men in those things that appertain to God. So, too, in this age must everyone give himself in some measure to his fellow man in the things that appertain to God. The Alma Mater reminds us to always strive for that which we were made for. These eleven priests, fruits of God's grace at Aquinas, have realized in a deeper way the meaning of these words. Just as according to the order of Melchisedech they are priests forever, so also, in a special way do they give real meaning to the closing words of the Alma Mater, Aquinas evermore ! REV. WILLIAM A. KRAFT

1950 GRADUATES in Reiioious HousEs The summons of Our Divine Lord, Come, follow Me, has been answered each year by many Aquinas students. Eleven newly ordained priests will ascend the altar this year, and fourteen from the class of '50 have begun their studies in various religious houses. They, as countless others, have absorbed the spirit of goodness that flows to them from the Church, family, and school. May that goodness which they have imbibed grow stronger and urge them onward to greater heights of zeal in the vineyard of the Lord. Wftslrir 'Mmm Q! , L , ia t Left to right: Mr. Joseph M.
