Aquinas High School, 1928-58 n lnirtg yeara - - - Aquinas fulfilled the needs of a Catholic central secondary school and also the hopes of the Most Reverend Alexander J. McGavik, then Bishop of La Crosse, when it began its first sessions in 1928. Upon assuming the office, the next Bishop, the Most Reverend john P. Treacy, continued with undiminished concern for Catholic education of youth and has been instrumen- tal in Aquinas' spiritual and physical growth.
