Falcon Staff and Pre-Seminary Informing and bettering the stu- dents are two aspects of the Chal- lenge of the 70 ' s which were eagerly met this year by the school newspaper, THE FALCON, and the Pre-Seminary Program. Hoping to live up to last year ' s standards, which won for Aquinas the All Catholic Award for School News- papers, the staff, headed by Moder- ator Mr. Russell, and Editor, Tim Gallavan, searched for and wrote every possible news, sports, and feature story, making each issue of the paper both informing and enter- taining. A new organization, the Pre-Sem- inary Program was introduced to Aquinas this year for all boys who have thought at some time or are thinking of entering the priesthood in later life. It provides a perfect oppor- tunity for individual betterment as well as opportunity for group activi- ties. The Pre-Seminary Program or- ganized many activities including various retreats, one of which was held overnight, and a Christmas party for the underprivileged children of the community. This organization enjoyed much success this year and looks as if it is here to stay. In meeting the Challenge of the 70 ' s, both of these organizations have done their part.
