Inst will aah Elrntamrnt To Sister Concepta we offer our genuine gratitude for her guidance and under- standing of our problems, and pray the Heavenly Father will spare her for many years to counsel and guide others. To the members of the Faculty, we the graduating class, extend our heartfelt appreciation for the conscientious interest and painstaking efforts they have shown in furthering our education and preparing us to face the future with confidence. To the Graduates of 1949 we pray that God will bless them with an abundance of earthly things, good health, and the will to carry out the teachings of Aquinas High School. To the new Seniors we leave the thrill of receiving their rings, and of experi- encing the fulfillment of their dreams-Graduation Day. To the juniors we leave the mastering of Cicero, Pitman, and Don Quixote. To the Sophomores who have reached the half-way mark, we bequeath our intellect and knowledge. To the Freshmen we leave a map of the school's corridors to insure their early arrival to class. To our future chemists we entrust the safety of our school against explosion, fire, Hood, and pestilence. To the members of the Glee Club we bequeath an atomizer to aid them in reaching the high C's. To the Business Women of Tomorrow we leave our S.P.T. books and a mam- moth supply of typing paper. To our Athletes we leave the stamina, courage, and good sportsmanship that has successfully defeated the competitors of Aquinas. To the Lost and Found Department we leave Montgomery Clift to attract the Aquinites to the Supply Room. . To the Orchestra we leave one full chord which they may murder with a free conscience. To the Cafeteria we leave self-washing dishes and self-ladling soup. To the Library we leave one patient little angel who will push the girls first to the card catalog and then to the books. To the Art Club we leave IW of talent to which they can add the other 99? of hard work. To all the Aquinites we want to express our wholehearted appreciation and sincerest thanks for their cooperation and interest, both of which have helped to make our four years so unforgettable. 59
