BEAUTIFUL . . . HOPEFUI. . . . AND MOST OF YOU . . . ADVENTUROUS . . . The moment of your' dreams has come! You have reached the second landmark in your educational striving, For some of you it is only an opening for more complete knowledge seeking, for others it is the immediate plunge into the whirlwind of life commonly called Business. But whether your choice, free or of necessity, be the avenue of profession in the Academic or Scientific world or in the broad field of Business itself always remember you bring with you an indelible mark of distinction which sets you apart as a Child of God whose heritage is Heaven. To know Him is the first purpose for which He gave you life. You cannot know Him and fail to love Him! And loving Him fulfills the great com- mand as He clearly stated in His answer to the good young man who candidly asked: Master, which is the first and greatest Commandment? Witness the majestic reply! Thou shalt love the Lord Thy God with thy whole heart, with thy whole soul, with thy whole strength, with thy whole mind, and the second is like unto thisg thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself for the love of God. On these two commandments depend the who! law and the prophets. Therefore, let your daily living, no matter in what sphere, always be il sincere seeking to know, love and serve your Creator here on earth that you may have everlasting happiness with Him in Heaven. Beware of false ISMS whose bubbles blow up stout and strong on all sides. Learn to ignore them while holding fast and firmly to the TRUTH. lf you are faithful to the daily recitation of our Lady's Rosary with deep meditation on each mystery as you say it, the TRUTH will reveal HIMSELF to you-For did He not say I am the WAY: the TRUTH: the LIFE g and again, The TRUTH shall make you free. You can know GOD only by knowing His SON, CHRIST as man first. Saint Dominic taught HIM through the Rosary, Saint Thomas and hosts of other saints learned GOD through the study of CHRIST crucified, but your greatest help in knowing CHRIST, THE GOD-MAN, is the close companionship with llc-aven's Queen, MARY the Mother of GOD made man. Ask her aid in all your difliculties for she has never been known to fail those who sought her through prayer. It is the final wish of the entire faculty that each one of you lives your life as a shining light in the midst of your relatives, friends, and associates, and while living a life of virtue to save your own soul you will exert a powerful influence for good on the souls of all with whom you come in contact. This is the only gratitude we ever seekg namely, that the Christian Principles we have endeavored to inculcate may be deeply rooted, per- manently exercised, and openly professed in every circumstance of life. YOUR DEVOTED FACULTY 1 O
