DEDICATION DEDICATION We, the seniors of Aquinas High School, with our deep- est respect and love, dedicate the 1963 Aquinian to His Holiness, Pope John XX111. As Vicar of Christ on earth, our Holy Father plays a vital part in our lives. His outstand- ing Christ-like love towards all peoples has won him world- wide respect and admiration. During the fall of this past year, Pope John XX111, con- cerned with the problems of the Church, convened the Second Vatican Council. The immediate aim of the Council is the renewal of the Church; the long-range aim is the reunion of Christendom. As active members in the Mystical Body of Christ, we pray with His Holiness for the success of this Council: O Holy Spirit, renew Thy wonders in this our day, as by a new Pentecost. Grant to Thy Church that, being of one mind and steadfast in prayer with Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and following the lead of blessed Peter, it may advance the reign of truth and justice, the reign of love and peace.
